GETTING STARTED

All you need to know about starting your counseling journey

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, we are in-network for the following:

  • Anthem EAP
  • Wellpoint EAP
  • Aetna EAP
  • Beacon EAP
  • FSA Benefits
We encourage you to contact your insurance and ask for out-of-network benefits as your insurance can reimburse you up to 100% depending on your unique insurance plan. If you have an FSA benefit (ex: Health Equity), it is an acceptable payment method as well.

What is EAP?

If applicable, your employer may provide an Employer Assistance Program (EAP) where you are allotted short-term free counseling sessions. Typically, it can range from 4-8 weeks and will simply require a pre-authorization code.

What should I ask my insurance regarding coverage benefits?

Contact your insurance provider and ask for “Out-of-Network Benefits for behavioral health." Additionally, you want to ask for the following CPT codes. 90791: Initial Session 90837: 53- Minute Session 90834: 45- Minute Session

Why would I want to use out-of-network benefits?

Great question. It varies from person to person, but depending on your job, you may not want them to know you are receiving mental health support services. It is important to note that some life insurance companies may request very specific and detailed information regarding your records. Lastly, insurance companies do require that one is assigned a diagnosis and not all persons require one, though they may be experiencing challenges.
